Abi Adefolarin is the sole proprietor of Proactive Physiotherapy, Yorkton, SK. Her extensive and varied clinical experience in musculoskeletal conditions optimizes her position. She holds a Masters of Clinical Science, Advanced Health Care Practice (Manipulative Therapy) from the University of Western Ontario. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), having successfully completed the credentialing requirements both in Canada and internationally. Her clinical interest focuses on empowering her clients to move better, move more and age well through education, advanced hands on skills and functional exercise prescription. Her interest in pelvic health physiotherapy has led to her taking additional courses to help her patients with incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, rectus diastasis, pelvic girdle pain, as well as various pelvic pain conditions. She has completed post-graduate training in clinical acupuncture, integrated dry needling, pro K-taping, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Movement Screening (FMS) and Clinical Reasoning through Functional Capacity Evaluation. She enjoys assisting her clients return to participation in their daily activities and sporting endeavours. Abi maintains an active lifestyle with long distance running, strength training and modified yoga. She enjoys spending time with her family. With her husband, she supports her kids in their sporting and recreational endeavours. In her spare time, Abi also enjoys time with friends, participating in community events, entertaining, travelling and creating unusual cakes and edible arrangements.
